Process for Changing a rule

In order for a rule to be changed, it must pass a league-wide vote. The process is as follows.

First, the rule will be submitted. In the submission will be the reasoning for the change in the rules, and a description on the details of the new rule. This will be posted as a poll, where everyone is entitled to one vote. The poll will remain open for a minimum of two (2) days.

All polls will have 3 options:

  • yes (the rule as proposed is acceptable, and should be instituted)
  • no (the rule is a bad idea, and there aren't changes to it that will make it acceptable. The current rules should remain).
  • needs revision (the rule in and of itself is a good idea, but the proposal as-is needs refinement.

If 50% or more vote yes, the rule will be implemented. If 50% or more vote no, the idea will be dropped. If neither of these two conditions are met then there will be a discussion on how to improve the rule, and a revised proposal will be submitted incorporating the ideas from the discussion.
